NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a meeting of the Village Board of Trustees in Republican City, Nebraska, will be held at 5:30 PM., on September 4, 2017 at the Fire Hall, which meeting will be open to the attendance of the public. An agenda for such meeting is kept continuously current and is available for public inspection at the Office of the Village Clerk.

CALL TO ORDER

This is an open meeting of the Village of Republican City. The Village of Republican City abides by the Open Meetings Act in conducting business. A copy of the Open Meetings Act is displayed on the north wall of this room as required by state law.

The Village Board will review the matters below and take such action as they deem appropriate.

The Village Board may vote to go into Closed Session on any agenda item as allowed by state law.

  1. MINUTES – Trustees to approve Minutes of August 7, 2017 Board Meeting.
  2. PAYMENT OF BILLS – Trustees to approve Payment of Bills for the Current Period of August 8, 2017 – September 4, 2017.
  3. TREASURER’S REPORT - Review and discuss Village finances.
  4. 2017-2018 BUDGET HEARING AND SUMMARY
    1. Review 2017-2018 budget
    2. Special hearing to consider final tax request at 5:40 pm
    3. Resolution 090417-1 to set final tax request
    4. Ordinance 299- Adopt 2017-2018 budget
  5. ORDINANCE 300- Apply penalties for violations in Zoning Regulations.
  6. RESOLUTION 090417-2 Sale of SHA Lot 5 and Tract 2 of Lot 4.
  7. REQUEST FOR ALLEY- Sarah Springer

  16. CHAIRMAN AND TRUSTEE COMMUNICATION - This is an opportunity for the Chairman and Trustees to comment on current events, activities, and issues of interest to the community.

Individuals who have appropriate items for Trustees consideration should complete the Request by calling the Village Clerk during normal business hours at 920-2243. If the issue can be handled administratively without Trustees action, notification will be provided. If the item is scheduled for a meeting or study session, notification of the date will be given.
